Charlotte Flair making her entrance.

She gets on the mic and says every time she steps foot in the ring, we witness greatness. Most of us dream of greatness, strive for it, desire it, but sadly, we don’t have the genetics to achieve it, so at the end of the day, either we quit, lie to ourself, or end up doing something else, just like her opponent at SummerSlam, Trish Stratus.

A seven-time champion who opted to do something different when the business changed, a family and a minivan, so you’re really telling her Trish came back for one more match? No, she sees Charlotte’s greatness and it eats her alive because she was never as great as her and the athletes of today are superior to those of yesterday even if Stratus doesn’t believe it.

She wants that big comeback match in her home country, and Flair tells her, not only will her dream not come true, she’s going to shatter it. She then rolls a video package meant to be a highlight package for her own career but it’s actually one about Stratus.

Enter Trish Stratus, conveniently enough.

She gets on the mic and points out that Flair doesn’t like it before saying she ran that video to remind Charlotte of why she’s here and why she gets these opportunities. She’s right, Trish has been dreaming of one more match, and maybe for her family and kids, yes, but also to prove it to herself. She quotes Harley Race, “There is no greater feeling in the world than to be under these bright lights,” and she needs that.

So Charlotte may be the Queen, but in the end, she’s not her. She slaps Flair across the face but Charlotte just laughs and leaves the ring

Dolph makes his way out to Goldberg’s music and mocking his whole entrance from the locker to the ramp (apparently Dolph never watched WCW this didn’t work out very well for Johnny Attitude or Tank Abbott)

Dolph gets in the ring and on the mic and crows about taking another legend out and pledging to do the same thing every time. The nostalgia isn’t enough, Goldberg said he’s next? Guess what, he does what he does best on Sunday, and he ends the legend of Goldberg. So he’s not next, but rather this match is Goldberg’s last

Roman Reigns is interviewed.

He says he’s been through so much this year, so many obstacles and adversity, but he always knew what was attacking him. He doesn’t know what’s going on, who’s attacking him, or why, and he’s in the dark. He talks about how this has affected his life and his ability to provide for his family. As far as who did it, he knows it wasn’t Samoa Joe and he publicly apologizes to Joe for dragging his name through the mud.

But somebody’s still out there and he’s seen the footage, and he has questions. He’s gonna get some answers tonight

Kevin Owens is in the ring for the Kevin Owens Show and beckons Shane McMahon cut to the chase and get out here so he can get this done with.

He makes Kev sweat a beat for entering, and Owens cuts off his big entrance and says we’ve heard it enough. He called him out here for a specific reason, and that’s that people have asked him over and over why Shane’s career isn’t also on the line at SummerSlam. The answer to that is simple, it’s his last name. He’s a McMahon, so he can say whatever he wants and do whatever he wants.

But the thing is ever since then, people have been relentless and he’s heard them loud and clear and he’s changed his mind, so here tonight he’s trying to appeal to whatever pride McMahon has or maybe that giant ego of his, but since they always talk about giving the people what they want, he’s asking for Shane to put his career on the line at SummerSlam and be the man he says he is.

McMahon thinks about it for a literal second before giving an emphatic “no.” He says it’s Kev’s ego that got him in trouble in the first place, and he runs over a number of scenarios that will force KO to have to quit, from pinfall to submission to count-out and so on, and no matter how it ends, McMahon will be rid of him.

Owens asks if the point of this whole diatribe is that he’s not gonna do it, and Shane confirms. Kev says that surprises him because after all these years of death-defying acts he’s exposed to everyone that he really doesn’t have any balls. Owens drops the mic and McMahon says he can see the hostility in his eyes. They clear the ring, Elias with the sneak attack but KO fights them off!

Brawling to the floor, over the table… STUNNER TAKES ELIAS OUT! McMahon pulls KO down into grounded punches and puts boots to him… AND TIPS THE TABLE OVER ONTO HIM! Shane lays a chair over Kev’s face… RUNNING DROPKICK INTO THE CHAIR! McMahon gets in his face and berates him before slapping him a few times.

Sami Zayn makes his entrance and calls Aleister Black out for not responding to his challenge and essentially calls him a coward for not responding.

Enter Aleister Black. He says their match isn’t happening at SummerSlam, no, it’s happening right now!

Firefly Fun House where Huskus the Pig Boy is lying in a pile of his own filth and candy. Bray Wyatt compares Huskus’ addiction to sweets to Finn Balor letting the Fiend walk right up to his doorstep and starts to lose it a little. Roman Reigns strolling along when he ducks into the men’s locker room.

He asks everybody to leave except for Buddy Murphy and has a sit-down with the Australian superstar. He says he saw him there and he needs to know if he did it. Buddy begs off and Roman explains that it’s the thing with the forklift and he saw him in that hallway and either he did it or he knows who did it. Murphy swears he doesn’t know and Reigns gets up, saying he’ll ask one more time and if he doesn’t get what he wants it won’t end well for him.

Buddy says he doesn’t want any trouble and he doesn’t know who did it, but even if he did he wouldn’t tell Roman a damn thing! Reigns pops off with a big right hand and throws him into a trash can! Biel across a table and he demands to know who did it. Murphy says Rowan did it! He didn’t see Daniel Bryan, just Rowan. Reigns relents and we cut to see Bryan and Rowan watching from the ring
