Kevin Owens making his entrance.

He soaks in the “Kevin Owens!” chant from the crowd for a moment before raising the mic to his mouoth and then dropping it when the chants continue. He finally speaks and says that yesterday marked the five year anniversary of the day he signed his WWE contract and over those five years he’s created memories he’d never forget and experiences he never thought he’d experience.

He got in the ring with people he looked up to his entire career, some of the absolute best in this entire industry, and on Sunday he was in the ring with a man who calls himself the Best in the World. He assures us that’s as far from reality as can be but says he’ll remember that night forever, because his entire family was at ringside watching and they got to share this arena, sold out, packed with people begging to see him kick Shane McMahon’s ass.

And the best part is that’s exactly what he did! In fact, Shane’s ass isn’t the only thing he kicked! But what he’ll remember most is hitting McMahon with that Stunner in the middle of the ring, and he’ll remember that moment for the rest of his life. Now that that’s done, he’s setting his sights on King of the Ring, because he’s said it before and will again, he’s been a WWE fan his entire life and King of the Ring was always one of his favorite things growing up.

He’s thrilled to be competing in it, because winning it would mean just as much to him as winning any of the titles he’s already won, because who wouldn’t wanted to be named alongside legends like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Edge, Bret “the Hitman” Hart, Owen Hart, and so many more? He’s adding his name to that list, he’ll guarantee–

Enter Shane McMahon.

He says this is a nice little moment for Owens to celebrate his tainted victory but he’s out here for a couple reasons. He gets cut off by an “Asshole!” chant and lets it breathe for a beat before saying there’s no reason to be calling KO that. He’s got some footage to prove his point, and it’s a screencap of Kev kicking him in the nuts on Sunday which gets a ‘you deserve it’ chant.

He questions Owens’ manhood and KO says he’s not going to be lectured about manhood by somebody who used to be part of the Mean Street Posse. He says being a man is about doing whatever it takes and standing up for what you believe in, and that’s what he’s been doing for weeks, but in this particular situation, being a man means shutting your stupid face.

Shane calls Kevin a lowlife and a cheater and says he’s so upset to be looking at his face when Kev should be in the unemployment line outside this building and it makes him want to come down and beat the crap out of him. Owens welcomes it but McMahon says he’s going to show restraint, but KO is in competition tonight all the same. Kev asks who, Shane demures and says the main reason he came here to talk was to show another piece of footage.

Tape rolls of Owens wailing on Elias with a chair again and again. Shane says Elias was so traumatized he got the night off and the 24/7 title is suspended for the night. But the thing is he went after Elias with malice, and what was Elias wearing? An actual WWE referee jersey, he was an official representing the company, and we have to protect our officials!

You can never, ever go after an official intentionally, so in order, as part of his management job, Shane’s been thinking about what needs to happen to make sure they’re all safe. He’s been thinking about it, so Owens will be facing some repercussions, and in US dollars he’s going to be fined one hundred thousand dollars. KO calls it a joke and says a hundred grand might be nothing to Shane but to him that’s his family’s future and his kid’s college or a downpayment on a house.

And if McMahon is the man he claims to be he’ll reconsider because he knows it’s crap. Shane tells him “Nope.” and leaves, dropping the mic. Owens storms to the back after him

Kevin Owens is in the back and he storms into Shane McMahon’s office and gets in his face.

McMahon begs off, saying he’s not a competitor right now and if Owens hits him, he’ll sue him and take every dime from him and put his family in peril. Kev backs down and Shane says it had to be done to set an example. KO says let’s make it a hundred and five and he throws a table at the tv

He says there’s no question now that someone is out to get Roman Reigns, but they had nothing to do with the car accident nor the horrific backstage accident, and clearly Buddy Murphy is a liar. But he doesn’t blame him, because we’d all lie, we’d all cave if Roman Reigns had our face pressed against the wall. He had to give a name, but Buddy gave the wrong name.

”It was you!” chants go up and Dan says that’s what’s wrong with all of us, somebody tells a lie, it gets spread on social media, and it becomes the truth. He hates to disappoint us but they had nothing to do with the incidents and tonight they’re going to prove it.

An interview rolls up to ask for a response to Revival’s claim that they ruined the tag division. They admit to ruining Christmas and Big E mentions an adult circumcision, but they say they’ve never ruined the tag division, just handled their business, the way Kofi Kingston has handled Randy Orton. He says he’d attack Orton like he did at SummerSlam again because family comes first, and that’s why he’ll be at ringside when his brothers wrestle the Revival

A biel over the table, throwing him into a trash can while Bryan yells about how you need to admit it when you’ve done wrong.

Pinning Buddy against the wall and he admits that he lied, but Bryan won’t take “okay”, he demands Murphy say “I lied!” and Buddy does so. Bryan says he hates liars and Rowan throws Murphy around the room one last time

New Day make their entrance for their tag match and Randy Orton interrupts.

He gets on the mic and asks Kofi Kingston how he can cheer on his boys from the sidelines when he ran away from a fight at SummerSlam.

He knows why, the people know why, and it’s because he knows he can’t beat Orton. And his kids will ask “Daddy, why is it you took the easy way out?”, and Kingston will look his sons in the eye and tell them the truth, that he can’t beat Randy Orton. Bryan tells him to go ahead and apologize, to which Reigns stares cold-faced. Dan explains, saying if Samoa Joe got an apology, they deserve one as well. Roman considers it for a moment and takes his towel off, to which Bryan says before it turns into a melee and the Big Dog gets hurt, they’ve done their own investigation and found out who did it, and next week they’ll bring Roman the culprit
