Newly crowned champion Seth Rollins makes his entrance, walking a little gingerly but hale and hearty otherwise.

He gets on the mic and says he’s gotta be honest ‘cause he doesn’t know any other way, and last night he didn’t know that he had what it takes to beat Brock Lesnar. The last few weeks have been the toughest stretch of his entire career, and he came to the ring at less than 100% and stared Lesnar right in the eyes. In this ring, Brock is everything he’s touted to be and more.

He pauses a beat and a “Beast Slayer!” chant goes up. He continues, saying that when he ran out of gas, something happened– the crowd came alive, and in that moment they took him to a place he’s never been in his entire career. To a place that he couldn’t go on his own, to a place that only they can go together! In that moment, he knew he had what it took to slay the Beast!

And he remembered that he’s Seth freakin’ Rollins, and that’s why he’s standing here as Universal Champion.

Enter AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows, the OC.

They get in the ring and AJ gets on the mic, telling Seth that believe it or not, the OC would like to be the first to congratulate him. They lead a round of applause and Styles continues, saying that here’s where it gets tricky– he doesn’t have to worry about Brock Lesnar anymore, but he does have to worry about the man standing in front of him, and he wants a match tonight.

Rollins says he’s always had a ton of respect for AJ… but not anymore. It doesn’t matter how beat up he is, but he’ll teach Styles a lesson in respect– challenge accepted! AJ offers a hand before realizing Gallows and Anderson must be making Seth nervous and asking them to leave the ring. He extends his hand again, and Rollins shakes it.

AJ tells his pals that Seth is scared and he better be, to which Rollins gives the universal “come and get some then” hand gesture.

Commentary hypes up Andrade “Cien” Almas vs. Rey Mysterio in a 2/3 falls match, a women’s tag title defense, and Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler for later tonight.

Backstage, the Street Profits are doing their usual hype reel/Greek chorus gimmick when Sami Zayn rolls up with some friendly advice.

He says he gets it, they’re new, it’s exciting, and they should enjoy it while it lasts, because the longer you’re here, the more it sucks your soul out. He says Becky Lynch used to be real straight fire but now she feels so manufactured, to which Angelo Dawkins asks if that even goes for, say… Samoa Joe. The camera pans to show Joe standing behind Sami while Zayn starts making fun of him and running him down.

Samoa gets his attention and Sami begs off, but Joe ain’t having it. He says since he’s such a big softy he’ll give Zayn a chance to get it off his chest in that ring right now, and maybe he’ll show that he’s something more than Kevin Owens’ waterboy. Joe punctuates with a shove and storms off

During the break there’s a commercial announcing the return of King of the Ring next week

SAMOA JOE VS SAMI ZAYN:

Joe with a Lariat then a barrage of Headbutts then locks in The Coquina Clutch & Sami taps out as he’s Choked Out

Miz makes his entrance in his wrestling gear, but Dolph Ziggler follows in his street clothes with a bit of a limp and gets in the ring.

Ziggler gets on the mic but the “Goldberg!” chants drown him out at first. He says he hopes Miz is happy and calls him a coward, saying everyone knows he didn’t have a chance against SummerSlam so he subbed Goldberg in as part of his genius master plan, but he forgot, Dolph got speared so many times yesterday that he cannot medically compete tonight so his plan goes out the window, and Miz screwed Miz.

No match. He goes to leave and as soon as Miz turns around Ziggler miraculously heals and attacks the A-Lister from behind! Raining punches down in the corner, referee John Cone backs him off and we’re gonna have the match when we come back

Backstage, Becky Lynch is interviewed.

She takes the mic and says she didn’t come here to celebrate and respect to Natalya but a long time ago she said she’s coming for everybody that did her wrong and she will not rest until everybody’s been dealt with. It’s cat and mouse and your smart play is to get her before she can get you.

Elias is in the ring to sing us a song.

He talks about how he thinks he’s figured it out, this pattern of interruption, so why not get that out of the way right now? He asks for whoever’s going to interrupt to do so now and counts them down, 3… 2… 1… nope. So okay, he launches into a number–

Enter Ricochet.

He says he hates to break it to him but people don’t come out and interrupt because it’s the cool thing to do, honestly it’s becuase Elias sucks. The Drifter says that’s clever but a guy that comes out here dressed up like a comic book character isn’t gonna tell him what’s cool, and he calls for a referee right now so he can embarrass Ricochet

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin to Skype into Raw.

He puts Seth Rollins’ performance last night over and says that it told him who Seth freakin’ Rollins is and how committed he is to being the best wrestler in the world. He says Seth is too humble to say it but he thinks he found a piece of himself on Sunday and then we finish up with an ad for his new show, Straight Up Steve Austin

Natalya is making her entrance in street clothes, her arm in a sling.

She gets on the mic and says last night she tapped out. Becky Lynch outwrestled her and was the better woman. She has a dislocated elbow and she’s getting an MRI tomorrow, and she guesses this is the part where she’s supposed to take everything back, but she meant every word she said. She doesn’t know when and where but they’re going to do it again.

In the meantime she wants to share something special– this morning when she woke up, she remembered a dream where her dad spoke to her and congratulated her, telling her how proud he was. It’s been a year today since Jim “the Anvil” Neidhart passed away…

SASHA BANKS IS HERE PURPLE HAIR AND ALL (or is it)

She gets in the ring and hugs Nattie, sharing a moment with her… BEFORE SLAPPING HER WHOLE DAMN HEAD OFF! Banks ditches the purple wig she was wearing, revealing blue hair underneath and she goes to town beating on Neidhart before throwing her arm into the turnbuckles! Corner knees, dumping Nattie to the floor, following out after her, jawing at her and shoving her to the floor!

Ignoring some asshole catcalling her, Sasha smashes Neidhart’s arm into the steel steps a few times! She puts Natalya in the ring and brings a chair in, stomping away, but before she can go grab the chair…

BECKY LYNCH MAKES THE SAVE! SHE AND SASHA BRAWL AWAY! In the ring, out of it, Banks with a big right, ramming Lynch into the barricade!
