Randy Orton makes his entrance.

He gets on the mic and cuts a promo about his victory over Edge last night and how he knew Edge was never going to be the competitor he used to be, and how Edge reminded him of how it feels to be the Legend Killer. He wishes he was here so he could thank him, and it’s not just because he punted him in the head, it’s because he tore Edge’s tricep clean off the bone.

He knew it the moment it happened and he could have ended the match there but Randy wanted to torture him, and make it clear that his career was over. He knows Edge is in surgery right now, but he’ll be cleared in July of 2029, and he’d be happy for their paths to cross once again.

Enter Christian.

He comes down and asks Randy what kind of man he thinks he is, and he says he’s cold, he’s calculating, and he’s a son of a bitch. He says Edge never quits, and he’s not gonna quit now, and Orton doesn’t get a say in how this story ends. Randy says he can’t believe Christian would interrupt him, this isn’t about him and it never has been nor ever will be. He’s just jealous of his friend Edge, and Orton sees that look, he knows what he wants— one more match.

Christian says absolutely not, he’s just here to defend Edge, but Randy says he and Edge are the same and he knows he can’t accept that. He knows he’s not medically cleared, but he’s got a way around that— Christian vs. Orton, unsanctioned, tonight. And if Christian doesn’t accept tonight, the offer expires and it proves that we all know he’s nothing more than a coward.

Angel Garza and Zelina Vega are interviewed backstage.

Vega says no arguments are happening in their group, and nobody cost anybody a match. Garza says he was just trying to help Andrade, but when you care deeply about something you have to be willing to let it go. He can only imagine his heartbreak, but he knows he’s going to get over it. They feel for Kevin Owens because yet again, Angel is going to have to prove that he’s inferior.

Garza asks for a special post-match interview, and Andrade “Cien” Almas rolls up to shake his hand and wish him luck, saying he hopes he can beat Kevin Owens, and if he doesn’t, he gets over his disappointment.

Owens takes Garza’s pants and throws them in his face, Stunner blocked, Owens sends Garza into the turnbuckle, Garza & Andrade get into a shouting match, Vega gets their attention & tells them she’s sick of the bickering & walks off, Garza tries a Bronco Buster, but Owens evades then Garza stops a Cannonball attempt, Dropkick for a 2 count, Garza goes after the ankle, Bow & Arrow, but KO goes to the rope, Andrade trips up Andrade, ref is having words with him & KO hits The Stunner for the win

Vega comes back she tells them they both want the same thing so they need to stop fighting against each other & start fighting together

MVP Bobby Lashley are backstage, and MVP promises he’s gonna get everything he’s got coming to him, on his word.

An interview rolls up but they don’t want to talk because they’re busy strategizing. MVP gives her the story she should be reporting, about Bob getting cheated out of his victory due to circumstances beyond his control & they’re going to go address that right now

MVP and Bobby Lashley make their entrance.

MVP gets on the mic and says Lashley had his night ruined last night and Drew McIntyre had the unmitigated gall to capitalize on the situation. Lana was thirsty for attention and it’s exclusively her fault that the WWE Championship isn’t around Lash’s waist right now, and if Drew had any integrity he would have given him a rematch on the spot, but instead he’s hiding behind another man’s wife.

Enter Lana.

She wants to be clear, it was Bobby’s stupid idea to banish her from ringside, but he knows she’d never do anything to hurt him, and she’d even put his career over hers. She got divorced for him, even! MVP yells at her and calls her a thot, and she tells him he’s a snake who’s trying to ruin their relationship.

MVP fires back that he got Lashley a WWE Championship shot, Lana claims that she and Lash were on a roll, and Lashley says she’s not capable of winning anything but likes on social media, and he’s sick and tired of her putting their lives out there just because she wanted to be famous. Lana calls him delusional and says if she wanted to get famous off her sex life, she would have slept with somebody more famous, like Drew.

Lash wants a divorce, and he and MVP leave together.

Last night Street Profits & Viking Raiders had to join forces to face the enemy, the weapons known as Shinobi, and should ever the WWE be threatened again, Viking Profits will assemble for a cinematic universe with merchandise and an animated series.

Akira Tozawa and his Shinobi roll up and demand a sequel. He’s told there’s no spot for them in a sequel, but if they want another fight, they can get it any time. The huge Shinobi from last night rolls up, Profits hold the Vikings back, and the Shinobi leave

Shotgun Knees drop a Shinobi, Assisted Bodyslam on the Shinobi, Ford takes down the Shinobi with a Dropkick, Back Suplex/Moonsault Combo, Cash-Out finishes the Shinobi for the win

Tozawa’s Giant Shinobi is in the ring, Profits & Raiders have brought some backup in Big Show

Show takes out the smaller ones with Headbutts, Chokeslam & a WMD as Tozawa & his giant Shinobi retreats for now

Backstage, Christian is talking on the phone about how he knows all the risks involved here and he doesn’t know what he’s gonna do

Seth Rollins makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says last week he came out here and sat at the commentary desk and kindly invited Mysterio to come to Raw this week and, yes he’s not technically medically cleared, but he just wanted to have a peaceful conversation and clear the air. The fact is Rey is a hero, and he sacrificed himself for the greater good.

Sadly, Rey declined the invitation and took the coward’s way out, but fortunately his son Dominick has taken it upon himself to come here on behalf of the family. And so— Mysterio interrupts via satellite. He says not to worry about him right now but he didn’t know his son was headed to Raw until it was too late.

He knows what Seth is capable of, so he’s giving him one warning. Rollins says he has no intention of hurting him, he just wants to help him, and he needs Rey’s help for that, to encourage Dominick to join him and Buddy Murphy and Austin Theory. Rey calls him crazy in Spanish and says his son will never join him, which gets Rollins to say he’s left with few options.

His men are going to find him and bring him here, but if Dominick isn’t part of the solution, he’s part of the problem, and if he’s part of the problem, he must be sacrificed. Mysterio says if he or any of his goons touch his son, he’ll end them. Seth heard loud and clear, an eye for an eye, eh? Fortunately for Dominick, Rey doesn’t make his decisions, and he’s got two roads to take.

Either he stands by Rollins, joins his cause, stands on the right side of history, or he can make the choice his father did, and he can become a sacrifice as well. Either way he wants to thank him… DOMINICK BLINDSIDES HIM WITH A NORTHERN LARIAT! The younger Mysterio puts Rollins into the steel steps after beating on him and Murphy and Theory arrive!

He sidesteps them and bails through the crowd!

MVP and Lashley are hanging out backstage when R-Truth rolls up.

He wants to give his condolences for Lash getting sent to Claymore Country, wherever that is, but he can’t think of the word. He tells him his divorce is a raw deal. He’s teaming with Drew later tonight and he’s happy to back it up, and he runs off when the Beat Down Clan get threatening.

The BDC are stalking backstage looking for R-Truth.

He’s struggling under a ring screaming about somebody trying to get his baby, and attributes it to ninja problems as Drew McIntyre rolls up. MVP tells McIntyre he may have left with the title, but he doesn’t see a champion, and he should worry less about protecting this clown and more about Lashley.

And if Drew had any integrity, he’d put the title on the line, and Truth should put the 24/7 on the line and make their tag match winner takes all. Truth wants to do it but McIntyre is reticent, but Lashley goads him into accepting

Royce with a Scorpion Kick, Kay follows with a Double Stomp to the back for a 2 count, Running Elbow Drop for a 2 count, Nattie with a rollup for a 2 count, Liv with a Missile Dropkick, but Royce makes the save, Live with a rollup, but a distraction from Royce saves them, IIconics finish Liv with an Inverted Magic Killer for the win

IIconics call Sasha Banks and Bayley out, saying that’s what happens when they fight one team, not two, and they challenge them to a tag title match on Raw next week (assuming Sasha & Bayley make it past Shotzi & Tegan on NXT). But alas, they know the champs are cowards and want to duck the match, so they know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody (etc) who can make the match

Big Show rolls up on Christian backstage.

Show says Orton wants an unsanctioned match so he can do whatever he wants, and he just wants Christian to be aware of the danger. The way he sees it, there’s one of two ways to go about this— either understand he should step back, or go in the ring and shut Orton’s mouth.

Christian thanks him and says he knows what he has to do

Natalya is backstage trying to keep her cool but berates Liv Morgan for lacking discipline.

It makes perfect sense why Ruby Riott let her go, she says, and Liv walks off as she continues complaining about being humiliated by a division full of ingrates. Lana rolls up and says she was supposed to be married to the WWE Champion now but instead she got humiliated in front of the entire world. She gave her all to the partnership and all she got was a divorce, and she’s sick and tired of being blamed.

Nattie says she gets it.

Christian is on the stage, pacing, when an interview rolls up.

He says he’s proud of his WWE career and everything he’s accomplished, and he has nothing to prove to Randy Orton or anybody else, but he’s not going to be disrespected. Orton wants to give him one more match? He accepts!

MVP rolls up on Apollo Crews backstage and congratulates him on his United States Championship.

Crews says he’s proud to be a fighting champion, and MVP says it’s commendable to take on every comer, but it’s not about that, it’s about fighting the right person, the right time, for the right amount of money, and he’s about to take on Shelton Benjamin, but that’s how you find yourself burning out and becoming a former champion.

So you need someone to navigate the pitfalls for you, and MVP says that can be him. Apollo says if he’s not a fighting champion, then he’s no champion at all, so thanks but no thanks. MVP hands him the title and says the only way he’s keeping it is with him in his corner

Someone has to be getting under her skin, he says, but she says she does what she wants, and wooos at him by way of an answer.

Backstage, R-Truth is shadowboxing when Akira Tozawa rolls up with some of his Shinobi, including a referee Shinobi.

Truth threatens to get his Jaden Smith on and kick all of them, and they run off as Drew McIntyre rolls up. Drew gives a talking to about taking their match seriously. He understands, no jokes.

Asuka is interviewed backstage.

She says Nia Jax started this fight, and she’ll end it.

Drew McIntyre is shown pacing backstage when R-Truth rolls back up.

He says he’s spoke to the powers that be, and the only title that will be on the line tonight is the WWE Championship. Drew is, uh, not happy, but Truth says he needs somebody to believe in him, and he knows how painful it is to lose a championship

Viking Profits are trying to figure out the next step in their feud.

Vikings suggest a chariot race and Big Show is there. They thank him for his help with the extra-large ninja and he says it was his pleasure and thanks them for the merch. He’s enjoyed their rivalry and he knows how to settle it— Profits are tag champs, Vikings are former tag champs, tag title match next week

Bayley and Sasha Banks make their entrance and get on the mic.

They talk up their successful defense of the tag titles, and they’re in the mood to celebrate. Not only that, but today is Bayley’s birthday, so they thought they’d make it a whole birthday week celebration, including their title defense on NXT. They dismiss the IIconics challenge from earlier—

Enter the IIconics.

They want a real answer, but the champs say it doesn’t matter who you throw against them, because the end result is the same. The IIconics request a wambulance and remind them that they lost the titles them before. They slap Sasha, Bayley screams about it being her birthday and accepts the title match, which leads to bickering between her and Banks as Royce and Kay walk off.

Randy Orton is interviewed backstage.

He asks if Christian is a legend, gets an affirmative answer, and says he agrees. He says unsanctioned means there’s no rules, no regulations, and in a few short minutes, the legend of Christian will be destroyed

Ric Flair comes out to try and talk since into Christian, but Christian says he has to do this

the bell rings & Ric with an uppercut to the nuts of Christian then Orton follows with The Punt, he rolls Christian over & the ref makes the count

Orton yells in Christian’s face, asking him why he’s here.
