Elias is here to sing us a song.

He plays a few bars of the Undertaker’s theme before talking about how his music is so powerful that it brought both the Doctor of Thuganomics and the Deadman back. And why do these legends interrupt his legend? It could be jealousy but it runs deeper than that, he says, it’s because WWE stands for “walk with Elias.” He’s got a real special song tonight, and anybody that interrupts won’t ever be able to show their face again–

Enter Rey Mysterio, back on Raw!

Alexa Bliss welcomes us to her show.

She says this may be her last nigth on Monday Night Raw but if that’s the case she’d love nothing more than to give us a proper goodbye in French, and her guest tonight is perfect to help out with that, Sami Zayn!

He takes his time dancing to his entrance theme to the delight of his hometown crowd, and when he finally stops…

…it starts right back up again and he goes back to dancing and soaking in the love from Montreal. He then addresses the crowd in French briefly before starting up his “OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE!” chant and finally sitting down to start the interview for real. Alexa says it’s fantastic to see him back on Raw, to which Zayn says he’s been in the city all week and it’s been great seeing his friends and family.

The city’s great! But the people… god. The low point of his week is probably right now, just being in this room with all these people. It’s hard to explain, it’s just so… Quebec. Being honest he doesn’t really want to be here tonight, but it’s funny. Nine months ago he’d have been looking forward to this kind of response, but now the cheers make him a bit sick.

See, the crowd projects all their issues onto Sami and he’s not accepting it. He thinks it’s disgusting and they should all be ashamed of themselves. Bliss asks if he really thinks that and goes to bat for the people on Montreal, to which Zayn says he was born here but these are not his people, and he doesn’t even live here anymore. He chose to leave before, just like he’s choosing to leave right now, and he knows where he’s going.

The crowd chants a bit of Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye, to which Sami says he’ll see them in hell

Backstage for an interview with our heel trio of Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre. Lio Rush is also there. Corbin asks Charly Caruso if she’s been traded but she asks the questions here, pal. McIntyre doesn’t care who their mystery opponent is, and the only thing he cares about is getting his hands on Roman Reigns. Baron says Seth and Roman are riding high, but he’s the guy that ran Kurt Angle out of WWE and tonight they’re going to run Rollins and Reigns off of Raw.

Rush says the question you have to ask is who’s stupid enough to team against Lashley, and that closes the interview out

Natalya congratulates Becky on her historic win and says she’s dreamed her entire life of main eventing WrestleMania and turned her dream into reality. AND she was the first woman to pin Ronda Rousey, as well as the first to win both current women’s titles on the same night. And last week she talked about needing to sleep with one eye open, so Nattie wants her to know that she’s the best there is, best there was, and the entirety of Uncle Bret’s catchphrase.

Lynch says okay, she’s spent years in the trenches with underappreciated women like Neidhart, and the second she held the two titles up she knew those overlooked women would hunt her down just like she did Ronda and Charlotte Flair, but that’s the nature of this business. She says they traveled the world as teenagers just trying to get a foot in the door and look at them now!

And since Nattie built the revolution from the ground up, it’d be a pleasure–

Enter Lacey Evans, in her ring gear for once. She says these “nasties” need to stop discussing a title match amongst themselves, because a lady knows how to curry favor and get exactly what she wants, and now that she’s officially on Monday Night Raw, what she wants is the Raw Women’s Championship. And, per the McMahons, she has the authority to tell Nattie they’ll be wrestling in a #1 contender’s match for that title… tonight!

Backstage, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are interviewed about their mystery partner. Rollins plays like he’s gonna give it away and Roman says everybody’s gotta wait. Seth admits this is the honeymoon phase and life’s good– he’s champion and his brother is back and better than ever… but for their opponents tonight, life isn’t going to be so good. They’re not going to forget about how Dean Ambrose was treated by Bobby Lashley last week.

Regardless of whether this is their last week on Raw, Reigns says, they’re gonna tear it down in Montreal

We get footage of a creepy dollhouse with flickering lights and a rocking horse rocking with no one on it. Pan past some dolls and stuffed animals, and a ventriloquist dummy in a black dress rocks in a rocking chair before stopping suddenly and laughing
