The One And Only is here. Street clothes Ricochet enters Full Sail, heads to the ring and grabs a mic. Everywhere he’s been around the world, he’s always wanted to make sure everyone remembers him. And he made it his mission WrestleMania weekend to make sure everyone was talking about him. NXT is about taking over, and he plans to take over NXT. You can call him confident, or cocky, but every time he steps in the ring, he proves there’s only one and only Ricochet. Now there’s only one thing on his mind (he replies to a fan who heckles him about his high water cut trousers and says, “no it’s not socks”), the NXT Championship.
He’s cut off by Velveteen Dream saying “No, No, No, No, No, No!” Dream wants to know who gave him the authority to come out here talking about title opportunities. Ricochet talks about taking over? VD needs him to take a step back. He questions Ricochet’s catchphrases “The One And Only” and “I make this look good”. He admits Ricochet makes it look good, but there’s only one and only experience – the Velveteen Dream. And no matter how Ricochet flips or flops in the ring, he better land in the back of the line, behind Dream.
Ricochet gets it. He’s the new guy around here, but he knows the Dream. He made the entire NXT Universe say his name. He made the current NXT Champ say his name, but he might not remember that, because it was right after Aleister Black kicked his head off. Ricochet is here to steal Dream’s show and his spotlight. VD says anything Ricochet can do, he can do better, and Ricochet says “prove it”.
They drop their mics and Dream takes his chain off. He goes to cheap shot Ricochet but gets punked. VD drops to the mat and looks up at him, then rolls out. They pose and gesture at one another as Dream backs up the ramp, leaving the ring to Ricochet.
EC3 vs. Raul Mendoza:
Mendoza with a Springboard Missile Dropkick for a 1 count, EC3 with a Knee Lift then finishes Raul with The TK3, cocky cover doing a push-up on Mendoza while he pins him for the win
Cathy Kelley interviews EC3 on the ramp. He puts over his scientist’s mind and mythological diety’s body. He won’t stop until he picks up win after win after win and re-brands this place from NXT to NX3
Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch catch up with Pete Dunne in the back. They let him know they still don’t like him, but they have a mutual problem with Undisputed ERA. They point out the numbers and the UK Champ nods when Burch says an alliance would make it three-on-three. They go their separate ways
Dakota Kai vs. Vanessa Bourne:
Vanessa evades the Kaio Kick, then hits a Springboard Kneeling Facebuster for a 1 count, Corkscrew Neckbreaker for a near fall, Dakota with a Scorpion Kick then loads the boot up for The Kaio Kick, followed by a Facewash then finishes her with The Kai-Kneedian Destroyer (Flpping Lungblower) for the win
Winner: Dakota Kai
Shayna Baszler’s music hits, and Kai is paralyzed. The Women’s champ stalks her way down to the ring while Dakota twitches in fear. Baszler locks on The Kirifuda Clutch on Bourne and Kai runs off while the official forces The Queen of Spades to release the hold
Kelley is waiting for Kai backstage and she asks why Baszler is so successful with mind games against her. Dakota says she doesn’t know why, then Shayna comes through the curtain, daring the captain of Team Kick to kick her. Kai shrinks again, and Baszler leaves. The camera pans back as we hear laughter, and Nikki Cross is hanging off the scaffolding enjoying the scene
Heavy Machinery vs. War Raiders:
Hanson wipes out Dozer with a Tope Suicida, Rowe with East Ten-Mile on Knight then War Raiders finish Tucker with Fallout for the win
Winners: War Raiders
Street Talk featuring Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins training on a basketball court and saying they’re coming for the Tag Titles
Tommaso Ciampa vs. Kassius Ohno:
Ohno with a Yakuza Kick then he takes his arm sleeve off as he wants full damage grinding it into Ciampa’s head, then exposes the knee, full contact on the knee drop near the injured eye of Tommaso, Cravat Guillotine then converts to The Cravat Countdown for a near fall, pair of straight Big Boots, Ciampa uses the ref as a shield to strike Kassius with a Forearm then digs at Ohno’s eye, Kassius with a Pump Kick, he goes for the High Tension Elbow, but Ciampa evades and hits a Running Knee Lift to the back of the head for a near fall, Rolling Lariat blocked, Ohno looks for the Rolling Elbow, but Ciampa strikes first with a Rolling Lariat then finishes Kassius with a Hangman’s Facebuster for the win
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa
Ciampa removes his knee brace. He smashes it on the back of Ohno’s head, then chokes him with it through the ropes. After he releases it, he mocks Kassius, asking him the same question he was asked during the match “was it worth it?”
Ciampa tells Ohno and the camera he broke Johnny’s body and broke Candice’s heart, and now the Gargano fairy tale is over
