Nese with CQC Strikes then sweeps the legs for a 2 count, Kalisto with a Springboard Crossbody for a 2 count, Nese counters a Basement Hurricanrana into a Fireman Carry Gutbuster for a 2 count, Kalisto with a flash pin for a 2 count, Nese with a Quebrada, but Kalisto evades, then hits a Frankensteiner for a near fall, Nese counters Salida del Sol into a rollup for a 2 count, One-Arm Bucklebomb for a 2 count, he looks for a Deadlift, but Kalisto counters into Salida del Sol for the win

WINNER: KALISTO

Buddy Murphy confronts Kalisto before he could get to the back, Gorilla Press, but Lince Dorado makes the save then they blast Murphy with a Double Superkick

Drake Maverick is proud to have Gulak & Alexander represent 205 Live at SummerSlam. Gulak says he’s been thinking about Cedric’s reign as Champion, Cedric says we don’t have time for talking or power points and to just sign the contract, as Cedric does so while he’s saying this, Gulak wanted to give congratulate Cedric on his dominant reign, he’s undefeated in 2018 & that’s an incredible achievement even if there is an asterisk. He says Cedric had long grueling journey on his way to WrestleMania, but what has he done since then. Cedric says he’s defended the title all over the world, taking out every man that’s attempted to take it from him. Gulak’s not taking anything away from his performances in big matches, but where has Cedric been when the title wasn’t on the line? Cedric was in the back relaxing while people like Gulak, the workhorses, were building 205 up to new heights. Cedric tells him to get to the point as he doesn’t want to set there and listen to the nonsense spewing out of Gulak’s mouth right now. Gulak says Cedric lets his potential competitors wear themselves out and wrestle whenever he feels like it and then takes all the glory. He tells Cedric he should take a page out of Kendrick’s book, there was a fighting champion with a legacy. Gulak says Cedric’s legacy is that Cedric will forever be known as the Brock Lesnar of 205 Live and then signs the contract. Cedric says before Gulak decides to leave he wants to make sure he’s watching the show tonight, because all Drew managed to do was make sure that Kendrick is in for a world of hurt.

Lio Rush: Apparently there are people out there that are irritated that Lio didn’t give Tozawa his rematch, but let’s be honest Rush is a hot commodity. Everybody wants a piece of the Man of the Hour, but don’t get him wrong he was very tempted to give the former Cruiserweight Champion his rematch, but it’s just not fair as Rush went out and found someone way more qualified to face the 23 year old piece of gold. He says his opponent is the real deal & he’s heard a lot of good things about him and it’s impressive & Lio says he bets even he can put up a better fight than Akira Tozawa

LIO RUSH VS RICKY MARTINEZ:

Rush with a Superkick then an Enzugiri, Tope Suicida, back in the ring with a Tornado Kick, up top & hits The Final Hour for the win

Tozawa comes out to confront Rush after the match as Lio already finished for the night leaves

Gulak pumps up Kendrick for his match with Cedric tonight

THE BRIAN KENDRICK VS CEDRIC ALEXANDER:

Cedric with a Dropkick, but Kendrick grabs the rope and Gulak comes down to ringside, Kendrick goes under the ring to stop a Tope Suicida then pulls Cedric into the edge of the ring then sends him into the steps, back into the ring for a 2 count, Kendrick with a Butterfly Suplex for a 2 count, Jumping Calf Kick for a 2 count, Sliced Bread #2 blocked, Cedric dumps Kendrick to the floor, Cedric with a Tope con Hilo, back in the ring, Springboard Lariat for a near fall, Kendrick blocks a Lumbar Check attempt, Back Elbow countered into a Backslide for a 2 count, Back Elbow, Neuralizer, Slingshot, but Kendrick counters into The Captain’s Hook, but Cedric makes it to the rope, Kendrick looks for a takedown, but Cedrick with a Tilt-a-Whirl into a Michinoku Driver II for a near fall, he goes for it again, but Kendrick with a Small Package for a near fall, Sliced Bread #2, but Cedric counters into The Lumbar Check for the win

WINNER: CEDRIC ALEXANDER

Cedric glares at Gulak on commentary, Drew gets on the apron as Champion & challenger stare each other down, Gallagher comes from behind with The Gentleman’s Headbutt, Gulak says Cedric took his eye off the prize, Gulak tells Gallagher to pick him up, Maverick runs down with officials & tells Gulak he’ll lose his title shot if he touches Cedric, Drake & Charles Robinson check on Cedric as the show ends
